Go Ye Village welcomed the first residents into Go Ye Village, Inc. on April 1st, 1976. Since opening, over nine phases of construction on 88 acres of land have been completed. The first phase, the Pioneer Wing, was followed by Phase two of construction known as the (JFP) John F Porter Special Care unit. In 1982, these two phases were tied together creating what is considered the Central Complex. This construction was shortly followed by the completion of (Phase IV) the Colonial Wing, (Phase IV-A) the Heritage Wing, and (Phase IV-B) the Residential Care Wing. These wings were tied to the Central Complex with the Completion of (what is now called) Richardson Hall. While these Phases were under construction, the Village also completed several Garden Apartments and Patio Homes on the north end of the property which is divided by West Fourth Street.
Go Ye Village offers 210 independent living units with 20 different floor plans. Residents have the ability to choose a Garden Apartment with the quaint flower gardens and walkways, or a Patio Home with attached garage and atrium doors leading to your private patio. Those who prefer the convenience of easy access to amenities, all under one roof, may choose from the many styles of gracious apartments in the main complex. Only the addition of personal furnishings and treasured possessions is needed to make it truly home.
